Please join the League of Women Voters of Albany County's at the Eleanor Roosevelt National Historic Site at Val-Kill, Hyde Park, NY. We’ll tour the site and hear a presentation by Supervisory Park Ranger Franceska Macsali Urbinon on Eleanor Roosevelt’s development as a crusader for social reform through her friendships with women activists of the 1920s and '30s, including her association with the League of Women Voters. The program is approximately 2 hours, beginning at 11 am.

There is no fee for this Val-Kill program. Participants will meet by 10:45 am at the Stone Cottage Visitor Center, Eleanor Roosevelt National Historic Site on Route 9G, Hyde Park, NY. Registration is required and limited to the first 35 registrants.

Those wishing to also tour the FDR House and Library, which closes at 6 pm, can purchase a ticket for $10 on-line at https://www.fdrlibrary.org. The FDR site's last tour of the day is at 4pm. Lunch is available at the cafe in the Wallace Center at the FDR site, as well as at other restaurants in Hyde Park.

Carpooling to Val-Kill is encouraged: Meet at 9:05 am at the CDTA Park and Ride public parking lot in Defreestville (Rensselaer County) at Routes 4 & 43 near the Blooming Grove Church. Carpoolers will identify drivers and passengers, then leave by 9:15 am, to arrive at Val-Kill by 10:45am. Carpoolers should consider if they have tickets to tour the FDR House & Library or plan lunch when making arrangements.
